Privacy Policy

Firedoc is designed to stay out of the way. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not route your Firestore credentials and data through our servers for the core product.

Overview

Firedoc is a native macOS client for working with Firestore. Our approach is simple: collect as little information as possible, avoid tracking, and keep your project credentials and data under your control.

What we do not do

  • We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, session replay tools, or cross-site behavior tracking in the site or app.
  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not take custody of your Firebase, Google Cloud, or Firestore service keys as part of the core app workflow.
  • We do not proxy your Firestore documents, queries, or results through our servers just to make the app work.

How Firedoc handles your project data

Firedoc is built to connect from your Mac directly to the services you choose to use. If you add credentials, connection settings, or project configuration in the app, that information is intended to stay on your device unless a feature clearly tells you otherwise.

You remain responsible for the credentials and data you choose to use with Firedoc, including keeping service account keys, tokens, and project access secure on your own systems.

Information we may receive

If you contact us directly or otherwise send us information yourself, we receive whatever you choose to provide and use it only for that purpose, such as replying to you or providing the service you asked for.

Purchases, subscriptions, licensing, and affiliates

Purchases, subscription management, affiliate attribution, license key issuance, and license key validation may be handled through Lemon Squeezy. If you use those parts of the product, Lemon Squeezy may process the information needed to complete the transaction or validate your license.

We may receive limited information related to that process, such as order details, subscription status, affiliate attribution, and license status, so we can provide access to paid features and support customers. Payment details are handled by Lemon Squeezy, not by Firedoc.

Update checks

The macOS app may periodically check in the background to see whether a newer version is available. Those requests may include the current app version and related technical details needed to determine whether an update applies.

Local storage

The app may store local settings, cached data, and connection details on your Mac so the product can function properly. That local data is controlled by you and remains subject to the security of your device and accounts.

Security

We aim to keep Firedoc simple and minimize the amount of information we handle. No system is perfectly secure, so you should still use appropriate safeguards for your own machines, credentials, and database access.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
